Frodo Baggins
A thoughtful and adventurous Hobbit from the Shire who is the adopted heir of his eccentric cousin Bilbo. He inherits a mysterious magical ring and is entrusted with the perilous task of keeping it safe from the Enemy who seeks it.
Samwise Gamgee (Sam)
Frodo’s loyal gardener and devoted servant who possesses a grounded, rustic wisdom. Although he initially appears simple, his steadfast courage and refusal to leave his master's side make him indispensable to the quest.
Gandalf the Grey
A powerful and wise Wizard who wanders Middle-earth and serves as the primary guide and mentor to the group. He possesses deep knowledge of the history and dangers of the Ring.
Peregrin Took (Pippin)
A young, mischievous, and often impulsive Hobbit who is one of Frodo's closest friends. Despite his lack of experience with the outside world, he insists on accompanying Frodo on his journey out of loyalty.
Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry)
A sharp-witted and practical Hobbit from Buckland who is one of Frodo's closest companions. He is more organized and knowledgeable about the wider world than the other Hobbits, often taking charge of logistics.
Bilbo Baggins
An elderly and wealthy Hobbit famous for his past adventures and discovery of the magic ring. As the story begins, he prepares to leave the Shire, passing his possessions and the heavy burden of the Ring to Frodo.
Sauron
The Dark Lord who forged the One Ring ages ago to control all of Middle-earth. Though he has lost his physical form, his spirit remains focused on recovering his lost Ring to cover the world in darkness.
Saruman the White
The chief of the order of Wizards and the head of the White Council, residing in the tower of Orthanc. He is initially considered the greatest ally of the Free Peoples against the Dark Lord.
Elrond Half-elven
The ancient and wise Lord of Rivendell, a sanctuary where the Fellowship is formed. He is a master of healing and lore who provides counsel and shelter to the travelers.
Gollum (Sméagol)
A wretched creature who possessed the Ring for centuries before losing it to Bilbo, an event that consumed him with obsession. He hunts for his "Precious," trailing the Fellowship in the hopes of reclaiming it.
Tom Bombadil
A mysterious, merry, and ancient being who lives in the Old Forest and possesses power over nature. He is unaffected by the Ring's power and provides the Hobbits with shelter and rescue early in their journey.
Aragorn (Strider)
A mysterious Ranger of the North who meets the Hobbits in Bree. Though he appears grim, he is a skilled tracker and warrior dedicated to protecting the travelers from the servants of the Enemy.
Legolas Greenleaf
An Elf-prince from Mirkwood who comes to Rivendell as a messenger for his father. He is a master archer who brings agility and ancient knowledge to the Fellowship.
Gimli
A stout Dwarf warrior from the Lonely Mountain who travels to Rivendell with his father. He is fiercely proud of his heritage and pledges his axe to the quest to represent the Dwarves.
Boromir
The valiant son of the Steward of Gondor, a mighty kingdom of Men in the South. He travels north to seek answers to a prophetic dream, believing the Ring could be a powerful weapon to save his people.
Galadriel
The powerful and beautiful Lady of the Golden Wood of Lothlórien, one of the mightiest Elves remaining in Middle-earth. She possesses the ability to see into the hearts of others and offers spiritual aid to the Fellowship.
